An Evening in Asia

Even in 2017 there are still many people without access to the Gospel.  We have almost instant access to anything we want at our finger tips and yet many still have not heart the name of Jesus. This should cause us to pay attention because Jesus came to seek and save the lost.  If he cares about all people of the world, so should we.

As a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, a heart for the nations is in our DNA.  But even more than that, as a follower of Jesus Christ, our collective mission is to share Jesus with the world.

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?  And how can the believe in the one of whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?"

This year we have an opportunity to really lean in to what God is doing around the world right here from our church in Battle Lake, MN.  In July, we have a couple of people heading to an Asian country where the Gospel is still not widely known. They will be doing ministry alongside workers there.  We are asking God to include us in what he is doing in Asia.

One way you can lean in to what God is calling us to is to join us for an event.

An Evening in Asia Friday, June 9th .

6:00 p.m. Potluck (think Asian dish -- need help, contact the church office for recipes)

Approx 6:30 p.m. we will have two presentations.  One from Lee Hemming on a recent trip she took to Cambodia and the second will be about the upcoming trip.  We will also pray for the nations and for our own hearts to break for them.

I know this is a Friday night and there are many things that will be going on.  Can I ask you to find a way to come and to bring your kids along?  Can I invite you to pray that God would open up all of our hearts to go beyond just the "oh what a nice story" approach to instead a "Lord, what is my part to play" position?
