A Note From Pastor Derek 03/30/20 (updated 04/06)

Things continue to change rapidly around us. Yet I find myself often thinking of the words of A.B. Simpson in a hymn we opened our online service with a couple weeks back.

Oh, how sweet the glorious message simple faith may claim: Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same;
Still He loves to save the sinful, heal the sick and lame, Cheer the mourner, still the tempest glory to His name!

Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same,
All may change, but Jesus never glory to His name!
Glory to His name! Glory to His name!
All may change, but Jesus never glory to His name!

It is so wonderful to know that even though everything seems to be changing; Jesus never does.

I want to thank you all for engaging in our online worship services. It now looks like we will be doing that through the month of April. We continue to ask the Lord for mercy and healing for our land.

Please let us know if you have a need or know of a need. Maybe someone can get groceries for you or run some errands. Perhaps there are people that you can call and check on. Now is the time for the church to rise up and lead. Let’s be the Church!

Look for my second installment of “Coffee with the Pastor” This will be a video that shares a little bit about what is on my heart right now. That will be posted on our Facebook page and website Friday at 10 a.m. You can watch it later than that also.
