This letter is to introduce you to a life-changing opportunity your teen has this summer with Battle Lake Alliance Church. Once every three years, there is a youth conference known as the Life Conference. LIFE Conference is a week-long gathering of thousands of Alliance youth with a focus on Jesus Christ through worship, scripture, service, and community. LIFE Conference is for high school students—anyone who is age 13 on July 4, 2025 or completed 8th grade and no older than 19 or just graduated from high school as of July 2025.
How much is this?
I know that the biggest question that comes up is “how much is it?” The church will cover registration for each student and the hotel cost, amounting to a solid majority of the expenses for this trip. The student is responsible for transportation expenses and incidentals. The exact amount will be determined, but I would estimate $450. Your deposit does count toward this. Christmas is coming and this would be a great place to put Christmas money. We are giving you a lot of time to raise what is needed to attend. But don’t let money stop you from going. We have sponsors willing to help you get there, if needed.
Details
The conference will take place July 4-8th 2024 at the Indianapolis Convention Center. We are planning to fly to Indianapolis. Students will attend with our usual youth leaders.
What needs to happen now?
In order to go, you will need to put a non-refundable deposit of $150 down. This will hold your spot. Deadline to sign-up is January 29, 2025. Plans will be made starting in January, so after that I can’t guarantee your spot unless you make it known to me in some way. Make checks payable to Battle Lake Alliance Church and put Life 2025 and the students name in the memo and hand them to me directly. You may also pay online at battlelake.org and click on give at the bottom. Select Life 2025 Individual on the drop down menu. Make sure it says individual because there is another one for special giving toward Life Conference.
